From Benallack, you are right on the doorstep of all the attractions that Cornwall has to offer. St Austell is the nearest train station, and there are buses to Truro and St Austell from the nearby villages of Grampound and Grampound Road.
The Roseland Peninsula, with its little fishing villages, cosy country pubs, bracing walks and beautiful beaches is just minutes away. Eden and Heligan are 15 minutes’ drive. In 20 minutes you can reach a beach on the north or south coast—north for surfing, south for lazing! We have several gastropubs within easy reach and Truro (7 miles away) has a wide range of restaurants.
We can recommend butchers and farm shops nearby, and you can get fresh vegetables and eggs from us in summer. The local shop is a mile away for papers and basic provisions.
We can also recommend where to go for golf (several courses within half an hour’s drive), surfing, fishing and sailing, and we can tell you about good walks or interesting days out. You will find lots of information in your accommodation, but popular restaurants and some lessons need to be booked in advance so contact us by email if we can help.
