Workshops at Benallack
The settlement of Benallack was first recorded in 1244 and was the seat of an ancient family of the same name. Now Benallack is a beautiful stone farm complex nestling in glorious countryside near the historic village of Grampound in mid Cornwall and perfectly located between the north and south coasts. With landscaped gardens surrounded by fields and woods, the barn is the perfect retreat offering peace and quiet surrounded by wildlife, yet easy access from all corners of the county.
Workshops are held in The Roundhouse whose name originates from when Benallack was a working farm and the room was where a horse walked round and round to drive a corn mill. This wonderful light and airy space now overlooks the garden and has a high vaulted ceiling with exposed A-frame and kingpin trusses together with French doors opening to the garden and enjoying a wonderful framed view down to the wildlife pond.
A selection of Tea Pigs tea, Cornish roasted coffee from Olfactory and SMÅLT hot chocolate as well as homemade cakes will be served during the workshop.
Most Christmas workshops will run from 10am – 1pm except Lou Tonkin’s lino print workshop which will run from 10.30 – 1.30pm.
Anybody attending a workshop will be entitled to 30% off overnight stays during the workshops in either The Dairy or The Bullpen. Please get in touch to check availability or book.
