Benallack is a beautiful stone farm complex dating partly from 1600, nestling in glorious countryside near the historic village of Grampound in mid Cornwall and perfectly located between the north and south coasts. With landscaped gardens surrounded by fields and woods, the barn is the perfect retreat for couples who want absolute peace and quiet, yet easy access to all corners of the county.
Two self-catering cottages are set around a central courtyard. Named for their use when Benallack was a working dairy farm, the Dairy and the Bullpen each sleep two people and can be booked by the week or for short breaks all year round. The apartments are individually furnished with decorative and antique items, yet with modern luxury and comfort always in mind. The Dairy is the most spacious, on two floors, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs and its own enclosed patio. The Bullpen is a studio bed-sitting room with separate bathroom and eat-in kitchen, all on the ground floor. Both are graded 4-star Gold by Visit England.
Both cottages have their own outside space but guests are also welcome to stroll in the gardens and find a seat to enjoy the views and the wildlife. After a busy day out exploring, have a picnic or barbecue by the lake in the evening sun or go for a country walk right from the door (on a public footpath across the fields).
You can enjoy fresh flowers and seasonal vegetables from our garden when available. If you have bikes or surfboards, there is space to wash and store them securely under cover. And we hope you like animals as we have a friendly labrador wandering around!
We are happy to book restaurants or other attractions for you, unpack supermarket deliveries before your arrival or make arrangements for special occasions.
Benallack is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and informal holiday, with all your home comforts and more. We look forward to making you welcome.
